Description

The  Basic TMS-5041 is a four channel partial discharge trending system with a true color LCD to display all the necessary information for the commissioning and surveillance of high voltage equipment. The noise gating channel and variable LP Filter separates noise from actual partial discharge signals. The actual partial discharge levels for each individual channel (phase) are displayed on a  bar graph and real time partial discharge activities are displayed in oscilloscope view and through a colorised phase resolved pattern.

The touch functionality of the LCD display allows the user to set alarms and parameters, and to store and visualise the partial discharge signals without the use of an additional computer. Eight optional 4-20mA input channels are included to record machine operation conditions such as MW, MVA and temperatures,  in addition to the partial discharge signals. The optional Modbus RTU interface allows an easy integration into the exisiting SCADA/DCS system. Individual 4-20mA and relay outputs per channel are available.

This make the Basic TMS-5041 a cost effective partial discharge monitoring system for permanent installation with manual data recording.

Online: The Basic TMS-5041 works with sensors that are installed on a once-off basis during a scheduled maintenance window. Information is captured while the machine is connected to the power system during normal operation.
Continuous acquisition and monitoring: 4 channel simultaneous data acquisition ensures a complete collection of information is available to provide meaningful analysis and diagnostics.
Manual data acquisition and storage: This is a cost effective solution that provides a permanent partial discharge monitoring with manual data acquisition and storage.
Built in full colour touch display screen: View Partial Discharge analysis and configure monitoring alerts, alarms and parameters.
Intelligent filtering: Built in Noise Separation Technology using variable filters, gating and common mode rejection to differentiate ‘Noise’ from real Partial Discharge.
Intelligent analysis and diagnostics: 4 channel simultaneous data analysis ensures every individual Partial Discharge pulse between each channel is correlated and analysed to visually pinpoint the actual location and severity of the weak spot.
Integrated with SCADA and 3rd party monitoring systems: Built in Modbus RTU for SCADA and 3rd party monitoring system and USB2 for direct computer connection.
IEC – 60270 compliant: The Basic TMS-5041 is fully compliant with the IEC – 60270 standard for High Voltage Test Techniques, Partial Discharge Measurement.
